The Faculty of Theology at Friedrich Schiller University Jena would like to welcome you and give you a safe and successful start to your studies. Our mentoring programme has been developed to provide you with the best possible support for the first few semesters - regardless of whether you are studying for a Bachelor's/Master's, teaching degree (Staatsexamen) or Diplom.

Your mentoring programme - individually tailored:

• Personal support: At the beginning of your path at our faculty, our professors will be at your side as mentors. They offer you a protected space for professional exchange and personal development, without the pressure of performance assessments.
• Participation and immersion in the community: A key aim of our mentoring programme is to introduce you to the academic community. It is important to us that you feel part of our faculty community and actively participate in faculty life.
• Development and feedback: As part of the mentoring programme, you can actively participate in academic discourse. You will receive regular feedback on your academic progress and personal development.

The mentoring programme is designed to provide support and guidance, especially in the first semesters of your studies, and is complemented by the student advisory service.
